LINGER is an independent project operated by founders Libbie Ray and Shannon. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.

What we collect

If you join the LINGER list, we collect your email address and the time you joined. If you send us a note, we collect your name, email address, message and submission time. Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it.

How we use it

We use list details to send LINGER updates with your consent. We use contribution details to consider and respond to your note, discuss a possible story or pilot, and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. Sending a note does not add you to the newsletter list.

Storage and service providers

Information submitted through this site may be processed by our website hosting and database providers on our behalf. We limit access to people and providers who need it for these purposes and do not sell personal information. We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected, our records and applicable legal obligations.

Participant conversations

If you take part in research, an interview or an assessment, we will explain the intended use and any relevant publication permissions. A private organiser assessment does not become a public case study without separate agreement and the permissions required.

Emails and unsubscribing

LINGER updates will identify the sender and include a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to remove you at any time through the contact form.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask to access, correct or delete information we hold about you, withdraw newsletter consent, or raise a privacy concern through the Get involved form. Include the email address you used and enough detail for us to respond. We will consider requests and concerns within a reasonable period.

Website measurement

This site does not currently use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. If that changes, this notice will be updated before the new measurement is introduced.
