Worth it. But for whom?

The kind of recommendation we want to earn your trust with.

‘You have to go’ is an enthusiastic recommendation. It is also incomplete. Before passing it on, we want to know who said it, what they enjoyed and what someone else might need to know.

At LINGER, Worth Leaving For will be a home for considered recommendations. We have not published experience reviews yet. This opening note sets out the questions we intend to bring to them.

What are you committing?

The ticket price is a starting point. Travel, time away, physical effort and social energy also matter. A useful recommendation should make those commitments easier to understand.

Who is it likely to suit?

We want to describe an experience clearly enough for you to recognise your preferences. Intimate does not always mean comfortable. Unstructured does not always mean relaxing. Busy does not necessarily mean overwhelming. The details matter more than the adjectives.

What do we actually know?

We will distinguish first-hand reporting from participant accounts, disclose hosted access and explain the limits of what we observed. One visit and one person’s perspective cannot speak for everyone.

What remains afterwards?

Where possible, we will follow up. We are interested in the friendship that continued, the idea someone acted on, the memory that makes them laugh and the things that did not live up to the promise.

The aim is not to find one universal version of extraordinary. It is to help you recognise yours.
